Thinkism.
Many users endorsed the Periodic Founder's claim that thinkism is insufficient for AI discoveries because it ignores the need for real-world lab experiments and actual work beyond benchmarks.

Periodic was founded on the basis that thinkism is not enough
Thinkism.

@LiamFedus Love to hear it. Science has always included field skills.

@LiamFedus autoresearch is also thinkism

@LiamFedus supplementing thought-experiments with a dose of reality.

@LiamFedus not wrong. most people confuse motion with action. thinkism is terminal though

@LiamFedus Same as AI-driven drug discovery where thinkism will only take you that far. At least until we simulate the nature itself.

two words that aren't being thought out as well as people think they are.
periodic still factors in what's being defined as "thinkism" here. that's the whole point of periodic planning. thinking deeply, and putting together a dynamic plan. this is fitness 101. and Gantt chart level planning in general.
this isnt some new thing. this anti-thinking campaign seems more like people are finally discovering what it means to reflect and to make a plan. 😂

@xanderai Falsifiable is falsifiable is falsifiable. With or without a lab. Capability certify methodology.

@xanderai I made a novel discovery just recently check it out

@LiamFedus Translation: when the benchmarks stop improving, time to try actual work.

@LiamFedus By the very nature of its architecture, no LLM can abduce. Thinkism isn't just insufficient. It's a category error.
